My M2 with my (now) nice and clean Elmarit 28mm VIII. I really dig this lens despite the size, it has such a beautiful look to the way it draws.

Last weekend I cleaned my grandma's sister attic and she gave me 4 cameras (35mm)
and one of those is LEICA M3 - 786 687 , IT comes with 2 lenses and light meter So the thing is that this weekend I'm goint to put a film and if the camera works well you think worth something $ ?

THANKS, I dont know anything about these type of cameras, I live small town 45 minutes fron san antonio tx. So cant take it to camera store so hope can guide me with any recomendation or I will know if works once that film has been developed ?

This is as beautiful and simple as it gets. When all that accumulated gear simply gets too much - this M4-P and 35/2 is the essence. Beautiful!
That is a really nice camera to inherit!
Read a manual how to use the M3 (it really is very simple).
Use a few rolls of cheap color film from the drugstore, get it developed at the drugstore (careful, read the fine print first and ask first hand that you get your negatives back together with the prints).
If the pictures are good, all is well.

I often use a medium format camera next to a quick M as well. How you feel to use both cameras with normal lenses (I mostly try to pair cameras that have different lenses on them, like a 35mm on the M with a 80mm on MF, …).

My first Leica, and my last camera for 2 years now. Truly a GAS killer. Although I do get the urge to send her for a nice repaint sometimes, to cover up the many many scratches on the top and bottom plate.
