X-E1 in the studio: A great time shooting with the X-E1 with tungsten. Shot between 1/15 and 1/30, ISO 800, around f5 with 18-55mm, with tripod and cable release! Some grain and glow added post production. A refreshing backward journey to days before digital.

Very nice image. I have a question, though. What is the tiny grid like pattern seen over the entire picture in "Original size" on Flickr ? I do not see it in other, even larger, views, and it looks very uniform, like a canvas print might. Is this a deliberate effect or some artifact ?

This one touches me deeply. Thinking of how society moves on while older folks struggle to survive.

This is a classic, a very strong photo to mark what it means to be a Human Being.

Indeed an artifact...since I use an old Lightroom program, it cannot read my rawfiles. Therefore I have to convert the files to a readable raw format, giving these artifacts at larger view and best seen in the original file. Have not solution yet to overcome this problem - but probably should look @ other software.

First one's at ISO 6400, second one at ISO 3200. Both are out-of-camera JPEGs.

I tend to like slightly clipped shadows so the camera is set up to deliver that. The RAW files contain additional shadow detail.
Great shot - and going back to your comment, I have just bought the XE1 and would love to know how you set up the camera to clip like that - I have been through the manual, but don't always find these things easy to understand.
If you have explained elesewhere, could you point me to that, if not would you mind enlightening a Luddite?

Which mount us that Flekto, Jamie? (I have a Jena Flekto for my Exakta, and it is absolutely wonderful for very very close focus.)
