The rioters (or should we call them thieving scumbags) are lucky they are not in Syria.
The riots are still going on with major stores being looted tonight.

Crap. Came home to a riot outside my flat. Looters and arsonists on my street. Police helicopters still overhead here in Hackney. Have packed my rangefinders and passport in case of a quick getaway.
At this point I feel you Brits have have the upper hand, civilization-wise .

it's just that there are so many rioters who are co-ordinating very efficently.
It is very different Rayt. The youths of the Arab Springs were protesting for Independence and democracy. The youths of London were looting for sneakers, beer and mobile phones. Never thought I'd do it, but I went out of my way to speak to a police man in Hackney this morning to say thanks for working all night last night. He seemed genuinely touched that a resident would do that.
However, have you seen the campaign 'riot cleanup' that has been launched - it's touching. If I weren't stuck in Bristol today - I think that's where your cameras need to be pointed.
Theses youths may not be Egyptians or Libyans but are disaffected nevertheless. Don't brand them all as criminals because of the looting. The Brits did support Arab Spring didn't they?
