Looking at the river

The Yakima River Canyon north of Yakima Washington. Along the distant bank is the concrete Roza irrigation canal entering a tunnel.

The Huron River in northern Ohio where I fished for Coho salmon as a kid.

A fishing trip to another spot on this river with a friend is what led me to a career in photography. “Fletch” caught a big salmon and wanted me to take a picture of him using his newly acquired Mamiya Sekor 500 DTL. It was my first experience looking through an SLR, and I have ever since been hooked. I've often wondered about what my career path would have been if he hadn't caught that fish.
