Leica LTM Looking for a new LTM lens for iiic

Leica M39 screw mount bodies/lenses
What's the point of having a Leica if you don't want to use Leica lenses? Aren't the lenses the main point of getting a Leica in the first place? ;)

I put my Leica lenses on my Nikons, and my Nikon mount lenses on my Leicas.

Isn't that how you're meant to do it?

Indeed. Have a look at the thread I just posted, comparing 50/1.4 and 50/1.2: http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=155193

Also, you might be interested in my 50mm film projects, 2 years ago: https://ferider.smugmug.com/Portfolio/One-Year-with-50mm-Lenses-on-F. Several LTM lenses were used that you might be interested in (Elmar 50/2.8, Nikkors, etc), and the Nokton and Summicron also exist as LTM variants.

Roland.

Regarding the Elmar 2.8. I had read that one might as well stick to the 3.5 considering the 2.8's performance wide open. http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showpost.php?p=612675&postcount=14

My apologies to the OP for butting in, but perhaps he would also find the answer to this question useful.

The f/2.8 has an aperture ring for much easier handling. A very few late f/3.5 Elmars were housed in the same barrel, but most use the awful thumbnail-driven aperture mechanism.
