As you can see the white paint for the M has worn off. Is there a way to redo it? Or maybe take the 9 out as well?

i would cover the 9 black and repaint the M white, and show off ;-)

jokes aside, I'd leave it the way it is, kind of cool, only with the 9

if you do decide to fill in the M, I would recommend picking out the white in the 9 as well, then re-fill in the 9 with the same paint you use for the M. That way it will match. Ive used Tamiya acrylic model paint to retouch Leica cameras, you pick these paints up at your local hobby shop. I read some where that Leica themselves have used this paint to service parts in the past. Dont know if its true, but their paints seem to match pretty well to whatever Leica uses. Also since its not an enamel, its easier to DIY, washes easily with water.

This reminds me of a rather long track from a Beatles album.

Sell it on eBay as a Beatles Commemorative Special Edition. Buy another one and a bunch of lenses with the proceeds.

put your m body in a shop vise, then use an angle grinder to wipe out the letter AND number, then paint with walmart glossy black spray paint ... :)

Add white paint to the center part of the letter M to make it a "V." Then you'll have a V9. Imagine the rumors you could start.

Yes it was the long version of Revolution where at the end they keep repeating "Number 9".:D

I say just let it age naturally. Maybe the original owner taped over the M9 and the M started to come off when the tape was pulled off?
