luigi- m case

well my luigi case arrived today, the one for an m body and rapidwinder. this one is in brown and adds a very classic look to both a black body and a chrome body. things i noticed, in addition to the fine craftsmanship and added protection to the body is that the case dampens the already quietness of the shutter as well as the rapidwinder advance, neither of which were noticeable in the first place. i also like the feel of the bump of a grip. all in all it is a nice addition.

tom, i agree with you on the shutter dampening but esp regarding the *bump* grip feature. for me, it's quite nice, not too much nor too little.

I've been so tempted with the Luigi cases and the craftsmanship is amazing. The only thing holding me back from getting a case (any half case) is that it adds another step to swapping out a fresh roll.

the luigi case unsnaps by the lugs and slips off quickly, fwiw. but i see your point ... it does complicate the drop, plop, & wind rhythm.
