hello,
is there a problem with a M-Hexanone 28/2.8 at a Leica M6 / M7 ?
What is your opinion?
best regards
klaus

Google archives everything-- I found an ad for a microscope I sold in 1993. Anyways, no problem here on an MP, M6, M8, Hexar RF examined at pixel level or else slides and loupe.

My M7 was the perfect platform for the Hex 28.
Only reason I sold my Hexanon was a gorgeous Elmarit 28 ASPH.
The combo you describe is first rate!

A direct question on which lens you would choose Elmarit 2.8/28 E46 or M-hexanone 2.8/28?
Thanks for your opinions.

I've used my M-Hexanon 28/2.8 on an M6TTL, M7 and MP and had no problems on any of them. I had two Leica 28s when I bought the Hex and I sold both of them. If Leica were to make a 28/1.4 and I were to buy it I'd still keep the Hexanon. :)

Hexanon lenses I've used without any problems on M7, M6, M2:

28/2.8, M-35/2, UC-35/2, 50/2, 90/2.8

With the exception of the Hex 50/2 I've used all of the above on an M8 as well without any problems. Two Hex 50/2 copies would not focus on my M8.

Internets say they share the same optical formula. Looking at the lens diagrams I have to agree. I'd choose whatever I could be able to find first for a good price.
