Hi all,
having read a lot about the unobtrusiveness and versatility of the new "prosumer" p+s cameras (GRD etc...) I finally couldn`t resist! After eight or so years of using my beloved M6 and a few lenses almost exclusively for private stuff (mostly b/w) I finally ordered a Panasonic LX3!
I used it infrequently for a week now and even though I'm familiar with digital SLRs (more or less only use them when I have to):
I am addlepated. bemazed. deranged! How do I use this thing?! the sheer abundance of options, settings and possibilities of customisation just drive me crazy! I get nervous five minutes before even taking some quick snaps about what mode to use and why! What's there to actually "help" me taking good photographs all of a sudden just gets in my way!!
Please tell me: Will I get used to this camera after 67 months of using it? Will it become THE street schooting machine for me? Quick, quiet and fast (I just added a Helios viewfinder 35/85/135 for some "real" camera feeling)?
Does anybody have thoughts to share? I just love the M and the "simpleness" and directness of photography with it and even though its amazing what the Panasonic can do on paper, I'm not sure if it's the right thing for me...
