You blokes should come to Japan. Christ, they even have regular monthly magazines dedicated to film cameras. Anyway, I'm going to get myself a second M4-P before they get too expensive. That's my plan at least!

It is among the RFF family, so there are no hard feelings when selling below market value.
Cool...sounds good to me! Now find me a 80 Lux R...🙂...those things are scarce and when you find 'em you gotta have the CC in hand and ready to order!😱
Even though the supply of M film bodies may be reducing for whatever reasons if you're a photographer and not a hoarder/collector it shouldn't matter.
There are still brand new 35mm RF bodies available from Zeiss and Cosina ... the Ikon in particular can do anything any Leica M film body can do and more. The same applies to M mount lenses ... there are plenty to choose from from the same manufacturers!
At the recent New York Meet-Up, Carl had a R9 with a digital back and the 80 Lux. A very cool rig. His lens had no SN.

It doesn't explain the sudden increase in Leica M pricing, but Leica has upped their prices by almost 100% in the last 7-8 years. Every time the price on new stuff goes up, it tends to drag along used prices too.
Carl? Man, he should post that rig in the Clunky SLR forum.😉
Dave,
Cristian posted some shots on Rob Klurfield's thread for posting February NYC Meet-Up shots.
This rig kills me. You can shoot fim or digital.

It makes me feel old. When I got into Leica M photography, the 50mm Summicron retailed, new, for about $950, and the newly released 35mm Summicron ASPH was under $1500. I should've stocked up.
