HI all,

one stupid question : is that right and for Rd1 the same ?

"The Cosina Voigtlander R, R2, R2A and R2M have manually selected 35, 50, 75, and 90 framelines. The Voigtlander R3A and R3M have manually selected 40, 50, 75, and 90 framelines. The Voigtlander R4A and R4M have manually selected 21, 25, 28, 35, and 50 framelines. "

So that a could take a 35 mm skopar M39 Voigtländer lens on my RD1 together with a adapter of my choise ? I will use my Voigtländer 28/90 Adapter or my 50/75 Voigtländer Adapter.

Is it right that a correct Adapter must only be used, if the camera automaticly insert the framlines ? ( for example :Leica M8)

What about the flange-back ( in german : Auflagemaß )

thanks for answers,
regards,
Michael

The only difference in the various types of adapters is the automatic choice of framelines in the Leica M cameras and the Minolta CLE. Don't know about the Zeiss Ikon.
There is however a possible difference in precision between Leica/Voigtlander and other manufacturers. They are not all eqally equal 1mm thick.
So yes, you can use any adapter on the Bessa's and the R-D1.

Michael,

adding a maybe useful hint to Robs post: I have tried the adapters from Hensenshop (ebay 310113928040) and found them affordable (9,99 EUR) and useful. Not high end finish (red point was some nail brush or so, I suppose), but mechanically in order. The adapters have no devices for automatic choice of framelines.

Thickness is 1 mm +/- 0.04 mm, as I have measured.

By the way: Does your nick mean that you are MG enthusiast? Then we share another hobby :)

Cheers, Andreas
