To the folks that have one of these on an m9 - when you set the focus to infinity on the lens does it correspond with what you see in the viewfinder?

I find that up to about 15 feet the viewfinder focus looks good, but further than that things in the finder don't fully overlap as they should if in focus.

Hi,

I had previously posted trouble getting infinity focus on my M9.

I was going to make a video showing the problem this morning but when I mounted the lens it worked perfectly - infinity focus matching perfectly between the viewfinder and the markings on the lens.

So, just some user error I expect.

can someone confirm that the lens flares quite a bit? I am having some problems under direct light.

I was able to find one finally. Mine had focusing issues. Sent it back to JE (who were great about this by the way) and it came back working great yesterday. I'll post some images soon.

This lens is on my M9 most of the time. This is one from my last cross run (yes, really), five vertical shots stitched for wider FOV and more detail. Cannot get enough detail...
ISO 1250, 1/30 sec f:3.5 and B&W direct from Capture One

1/350 sec f:5.6 ISO 160, about 30% cropped

Two shots with 1/60 sec f:3.5 ISO 250, stitched vertically

1/90 sec f:5.6 ISO 160, LCC profile from Phoxle disc (Capture One 6.1.1)
For this kind of shot you need a tool against red edges, my preferred solution is Capture One´ s LCC profile option, corrects the color cast with one click in a second

Carsten,

I run 40-45 miles/week and have to say it never occurred to me to pack the m9 and the perar. Do you just keep it in hand, or a fanny pack?

I often have to keep a phone on and so my iPhone ends up in a small fanny pack. After a mile or two I hardly notice it. The m9 would likely be the same, but not sure I'd want to subject it to the bouncing.

Best,

Best,

Steve, I keep it in hand, change from left to right hand from time to time, this for a running time of 60 to 90 min without problems. Of course you will run a bit slower than without extra weight but so what. Neve rmiss an opportunity :)
This is my "bag", 7,50 € on e*ay ...

When it begins to rain, there is a plastic bag in the bag, just for safety.

C_R... beautiful once again. I'm dying here. I finally got my perar in order and my M8.2 is in repair. I just can't win.

Just ordered the MKII version from Japan Exposures. Don't really need it as already have ultron 1.7 and 40 cron c, but hey...
Probably means bye bye ultron.
