I used my Canon 35mm/1.5 with the M9 this past weekend. I used a Canon W 50 lens hood which resulted in some vignetting. Now I think there is no need for any lens hood since the front glass is recessed in the 35/1.5.
I will leave the images without any editing or PS to show you what you get from jpg files. I used at the same time the M8 witj a Canon 35/2: http://rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=160441

Handling the lens was easy, but the infinity lock sometimes annoyed me. The M9 has been working very well and without any "going to sleep" since I switched it from discrete mode to standard mode for frame advance.

I have the same 35 f1.5. Mine seems to be RF calibrated for f2.8. Shooting it at wider apertures, I have to focus a bit towards infinity. Is yours like that?

Your lens draw nicely and remind me that Canon made good lenses. I have a Canon 35 f1.8 on the shelf for a while. I should use it more.

I also have the Canon 35.1.8. It is an overall very good lens. It small and light and sharp. Some users of this lens have pointed out that it is sensitive to flaring up when shooting against a strong light source. It can actually look nice if done carefully.

35mm f1.8 flare easily. Sometime it may create vintage look.

It can build up internal haze, just as other Canon lenses do. Canon may have pushed it too far for speed. Using f 4.0 and smaller apertures give excellent results.

did your 35f1.5 build up with haze over time ?

so it is advisable to use without hood for less vignette
