Made in Thailand, made in japan

Maybe better than the digital pentax optio i own, which has optics "made in japan" but is "assembled in philippines" with "made in china" bateries.. 😀

My zeiss ikon and nokton 35 are proudly signed as "made in japan". But they are doing a good job in thailand with the nikons, isn't it?

My Leica M4-P and all 4 lenses were made ( or at least assembled )in Canada. It cost a bit, considering how simple the set up is, but it is the most reliable camera I own.

My other cameras were made in other countries, China, Germany, Japan, Singapore, Sweden, Thailand, etc. they are all excellent cameras but I really favor my ratty old Canadian Leica.

Where a camera is made means nothing, but I like to think that people made it and not in some completely automated factory far from the desk of the original designer.
