Ok. I think the 50mm delivers best performance at f/11.
I had some problems with the 43mm to get sharp corners at f/11. Usually I set focus to 7m or 8m. But with this setting the depth of field doesn't reach to the near corners. But I don't want to use f/16 because of diffraction.

I don't think the M7 is diffraction-limited at f/16.

Close, according to Pop Photo's tests, the 50 is sharpest at F/8: http://pubpages.unh.edu/~eme39/PP_Mamiya_7II_Lenses_test_and_review.pdf

I've noticed this to be true in the scans I've made, but F/11 and 16 are still very sharp. I haven't noticed any problems with corner sharpness at F/8, though at F/8 the depth of field is noticeably shallower.

I recently bought a Mamiya 7 with 65mm from KEH. This is one is an early frame from a roll of HP5+ that I put thru it, scanned with epson V700

I'm in love already. I wish i had more time to shoot

Like to add my 2 cents concerning Pan F in medium format, if you haven't tried it,don't hesitate any longer ! Peter

I love PanF+ I just wish it were available in 4x5

So, what's happening here? This looks like an accidental shot ... Am I wrong?

^ this guy was sharpening knives on the side of the road, yep it was prob a bit of rushed shot, could prob save it with some creative cropping...

Also had a few rolls of Portra 160 and Ektar developed, looking forward to getting stuck into processing them asap. Might need to get my head around vuescan though..
