Manchester UK. This Saturday - EDF counter protest anyone?

Is anyone planning on going to the counter protest against the English Defence League this Sat? Could be interesting photographically.

Meeting at 12 noon in Piccadilly Gardens. It'd be good to meet people there!

sorry folks, it should of course be the EDL not EDF as it says in the title... Racist thugs coming to town not the energy company!

Might well be in manny this weekend, didn't realize this was going on.
I'll keep an eye out for rangefinders.
 
So. Did anyone else go? I had a really interesting day. Lots of good shots (I think) but nothing processed yet. I will post a link when it's ready. Anyone else got anything to show?

Thanks Stewart. Probably my fave too. I think the eye contact makes it.

It was a very different Manchester to the one we usually shoot in yesterday. The tension was palpable.

Yep I can imagine, they'll no doubt get round to Bradford at some point, closer for me and a chance of petrol-bombs.

The NF/ANL had clashes a few years back
