Yeah, I was all like 'it's OK, there's no electronics' but it was damp for more than a day afterwards and some of the leather fell off... I suffer for my photography ;)

My first attempt with a Yashica 635 and Ilford SFX 200. ...my first medium format foray....wont be my last :)

I really like the Planar of the Rolleiflex 2.8 F, lower contrast than the Hassy Planar 80 and also than the Rollei Planar 75/3.5. the bokeh is also sort of softer. P.S. the vignetting is added by me:

The rest are all in this exhibition. 10 out of 12 shots; the two missing were brackets (dupes). What a load of fun it was to shoot, and this eclectic test roll seems to indicate it's in working order. Now on to business! :p

Nice work, I like the "casual snaps" with a 'blad but that studio shot of the wine bottle is well crafted for sure.

Thanks, I used Fuji Acros souped in Xtol 1:1. I got as many looks and questions about the camera as the guys who's cars were in the local car show I was at ;)

Me too!
I read an article the other day, the writer made the comment that we see in a shallower depth of field. If you hold your hand up at arms length and focus on your thumb, you'll notice that everything behind it is out of focus. Now shift your gaze to something farther and your thumb is fuzzy.

I think that people relate more to shots in the f4-f8 range more than f22, they seem more real to us. Not that there's anything wrong with stopping down to f22 (or more).

not sure what to tell you, maybe get closer? f4 is f4 right, it should throw most things out of focus.

Thanks rphenning, you might have seen it on my PBase site...

I'm doing my house up (or trying to) at the moment so my darkroom has been mothballed until the winter... so I can't run off any prints, but if you'd like a high resolution scan PM me your address and I'll stick it on a CD and send it to you to get printed locally...

Thanks Chris, It was the KER-FLAP of the shutter from my first shot that made him look up :)
