Moleskine Fact

The Moleskines seem pretty cool, but I'm not buying one on-line. So, until I get to soemplace that has 'em where I can hold/fondle 'em, I've been using these:
Pocket Mod .
Adaptable and the pice is reasonable.

I was at the book store the other day and remembered to look at the Moleskines. Thinking it seemed cool I picked one up. I then realized that I have absolutely no use for it, so I gave it to my girlfriend. If I were a writer it would be very nice to have one, and I think I may give one as a birthday gift to a poet friend of mine, but it serves no purposes to me related in any way to photography. I agree with what someone said before, I don't usually care what the exposure was as long as I made it.

It was really cool, though, and I honestly wanted to find a use for it, but it just wasn't for me.

Rob: Barnes & Nobel carry some of the Moleskines, but if you are in Rochester soon, they are also in the gift shop at George Eastman House. I'd rather spend money on such items there to a corporate giant such as B&N, as much as I enjoy B&N. As a member, I receive a 20% discount on gift shop items, so that doesn't hurt, either.

I started doodling in my moleskine this morning...nothing too artistic or interesting I'm afraid 🙂

Nice one, Rich. Can it be you've discovered another "camera and coffee" type thread? A "Camera and What is in My Moleskin" thread. Hmmm... My Moleskin is much less interesting.

And yes, he was an avid moleskine user..going through hundreds of them.

Me, I tried watercolouring in mine today...and it's blatantly obvious that I should stick with photography...

They opened a new bookstore in Oulu about a month ago, Its called Akateeminen kirjakaupppa, Academic bookstore, and they carry the moleskine-products. I bought a sketchbook and have used it since. I usually draw with various ink pens and use watercolor pencils. I have a bigger diary for writing and the moleskine is for drawing and quick writing. I cant leave home withouth anything to write on. I'm thinking of buying the larger plain notebook for my next diary, as soon as I finish the one that I have now.

I've gathered all my pages here:
