As far as the CCD Monochrom 'out resolving' these two cameras at base ISO, that's doubtful too. Here again, I can see it in the prints (at least between the CCD Mono and he 246 Mono), and to me the prints from the 246 appear sharper, and reveal more shadow and highlight detail.
I love this image, well done.

Thanks Joe - this abandoned church is located about 1/4 in off a dirt road (walked)
must have been a long walk 😉
emphasis added was my own, but either way, love that photo too.
Cal, my gut is telling me to stick with the 246, and ultimately I think that's what I'm going to do. Handling the SL this past week has been a valuable experience, and I am thankful for the opportunity. In the end, I think having the option of both and OVF and EVF is a big plus, and even the more straightforward handling of the 246 works better for me (even if the SL may produce sharper photos). However, the trip is not over yet!
It is an amazing scene! If I were you, I'd go back under different light/cloud situations as often as I could to get the best possible shot out of this scene.I might go back this morning to reshoot this scene -- although I don't think the crow will still be there!
Yeah, I like this version better. The shadows give depth..
I don't trespass on private property, particularly out here. I've considered 'packing' something while I'm out here (as I seem to be going into more and more remote areas), but that might bring a whole other set of complications, so it may or may not be a good idea. Knock on wood, I've never had any issues.
