That Lecoultre looks a wonderfull. As if you need 4 years of study and a degree before you can even grasp how it works.
Is it the same Lecoultre as the clocks?

I was in Aperture Photographic in Rathbone Place, London, yesterday, a new classic camera store. Beautiful shop, wonderfully laid out, and friendly service. I was buying a Rolleiflex GX, but in the store they had a Wista 4x5 DX Field camera, and that may be one of the more beautiful cameras I've seen in the flesh. I've seen them online of course, but in person, it was just lovely.
Out of my own cameras, the most beautiful is either the Leica M3 (boring I know) or the Super Ikonta III.

Yes. The camera was designed by an Englishman with a disastrously British name that I forget, and he chose LeCoultre to manufacture it, because of their excellence in watchmaking. It is, without a doubt, the most full-featured mechanical camera you'll ever find.

For me it is one of these:
But cameras, like women, are all beautiful for me.

If you want to shoot long, nothing beats the design simplicity of the OM1:

Actually I'm beginning to think most cameras are beautiful. Maybe we need a thread with ugly ones instead.

Hmm, yes, they are very pretty. Used to have one, should have kept it. Yesterday I walked past a shop with one of those brand new Rollei 35s in peculiar colours. I expected to find it tacky, but I was surprised by how much I wanted to buy it.

What's up with the Rollei love fest? Here's another. Mr. Zhou makes a very unique Rollei case which I think is beautiful.![]()
Oh dear, there goes the GAS again. I thought it would be under control for a bit after buying a Rolleiflex.

GAS flares up again when 1) you see a gorgeous piece gear in a gorgeous photo, and 2) you find it's actually affordable

The colorful commemorative versions are too pricy. Just feel that the plain black or chrome versions are more discrete.
