Picked this up at one of our local dallas area shops , they had just taken it in on trade and had done a CLA. Ser# 226522 on cam indicates it's in the 36-37 range . lens is the Summitar 5cm1:2 glass very clen , no dust or cleaning marks , also came with finder. Ser # on lens is 520717 but I can't find info on when it was made? Any Ideas ? Found the lens info 1939 it looks like.

Price was $300.00 (Very common camera model )

hope to shoot some , weather here is very overcast at this time .

I think the price was right , I probably won't be getting anymore I have to many RF as it is but needed at least one Leica.

not bad price, considering all that came with it, and CLA.

couldnt find any manufacturing lists for the old Leica finders either (I have VIDOM), but am sure someone knowledgeable RFFer eventually spots this 🙂

Payasam's comment is a wise one. If the shutter curtains are good and the RF bright a bargain.
Exciting, isn't it?
How does it feel in the hand compared to the other RF's you own?
How have you got on loading it?

The little 111a is one of my favorites. Its a tad smaller than the later LTM cameras and very elegant. I have one too and in my case it was factory upgraded after WW2 as it was upgraded with a flash sync in the proper place and the larger 111f type shutter speed dial and a collar around it to set the flash firing delay. It also had its 1934 Elmar factory coated. Lovely little camera. Yours looks extremely nice too - it can be hard to find them in good condition. And the Summitar is one of my favorite lenses.
