A really nice series, especially as they are your first. You have a nice eye for a scene. Congratulations. Photography can be a nice addiction.

Ciao and congrats,
it looks you have eye for snapshots. I liked all the background as well.
Just for the files, I'd like to know which film(s) did you use. I see some pictures are very grainy even in full day and I don't understand if it's because of a questionable scan, some kind of PP effect you or else applied, or a very high sensitivity film.
Pay attention not to become film addicted, because it's MUCH easier than you could ever imagine
By the way which was the reason sparkling the interest for photography in your case? Did you see your camera in a shop and told yourself "why not" ? or what ?

Mate, these are awesome shots. I'm also really glad you are shooting on film - film itself will teach you more than anything else will.
But you definitely get the awesome award by going straight out to the streets! Thank goodness you're not starting out with photos of flowers!

Hi. Thank you so much. I used Fuji 800Z film. I loaded that film around 3PM in NYC winter which meant in 90 minutes it would be very dark. This was right before or after the winter solstice so daylight is very short. I was planning to take a walking trip that would be at least three hours so I figured that I would be better off with high ISO film. Other then resizing, I did not do anything else with the images.
I really love walking NYC or any other city streets. There is something special about walking city streets for me. Camera is just an amazing companion to take with you. I am pretty sure I am already addicted to film - to all of it though. I love the nostalgic and pure feel of portra, transparency of fuji colors and few others.

Oh how I wish I could recall the feeling of seeing my first photos ever!
I like the style of your photos, they transport the feeling of seeing things the first time (with a frame around them)
Very pleasing is the fact that you spoke only about taking photos and not about gear!
I hope to see more of your pictures! Good luck and good light!

Great work. Congratulations on choosing an OM1 - what a beautiful camera.
Especially liked your shots because they were shot in my neck of the woods so I recognized the streets. We must be neighbors.

Excellent work , keep it up , I especially liked #3 , the line of traffic leading too the main subject. The Brooklyn Bridge gent is also great , just keep doing what you are doing and burn film.
