Thanks javimm and paapoopa for your nice comments....very nice of you guys...
To answer your question paapoopa, tanaka (paint on the face) is used everywhere in Myanmar.....some people decide to put it on and some do not.....it also varies day by day too.....some people told me that they wear it every day and then some people have told me they only put it on sometimes.....

Both are great shots - but I agree that this one edges the first.
Super stuff Michael.

This is truly some of the most fascinating and beautiful photography I have seen to date! You have a great eye and certainly a way with getting the best reactions from the people. I would absolutely pay for a book of this work.
A quick question: do you use any filters in these shots or are the lenses bare?

Thanks a lot man, that is a very cool compliment..........
I use UV filters on all my lenses except the 15mm cv......but for the most part of this trip, I shot my 28mm elmarit without a filter....
a couple of more

all great, i especially like the blurred image of the horse-n-carriage on this page. it breaks up the "monotony" (sarcasm) of all your great portraits!!
I would be really interested in your editing process: all these great images, but how
do you choose to put 20 or so together that "tell the story" ??
E.g.: I have found that even some of the best stand-alone images I can take do not make the final cut for the final 20 images that I would present as a body of work: the images have to work together as a group, rather than having 20 great images that do not relate to one another as a whole.
