But you can call me Steve
The flag waving and fists extended just evoked images from the Nazi past that I'd hoped we would never see again. My Jewish heiritage may have me overly sensitive.
Neutrality does not exist, except for pH.I thought Sweden was neutral.
I'm with you Raid ... the images will become secondary very rapidly.

Bra jobbat!
Hi!
September 30, nazis tried to march the streets of Gothenburg. Thousands of people turned up and stopped them. Here are some of my photos from the demonstration. I couldn’t photograph the nazis because they broke the law at the very beginning of there marching so the police shut them down and surrounded them. Me and the anti nazis was also surrounded by the police so that there could not be a battle between anti nazis and nazis. My photos are all from the antifa point of view.
Also, behind the scenes.
100% agree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I confess, I do not know much about Nordiska motståndsrörelsen (NMR) - the "Nazis" of this thread but am willing to believe that they are ugly. But are they any more ugly than the violent, masked antifas brutes who turn out in force to oppose not just these guys but anyone who is not further to the left than Marx, Lenin and Stalin? The only Nazi symbols I saw were in a socialist leaflet by the way.
When I see NMR members marching quietly and in an orderly way in videos of the demonstration on Youtube it is pretty clear to me which side actually caused the mayhem. Just like in USA. Just like in Australia. Just like in every country. None of which have have NMR by the way. But it does not stop antifas who are willing to beat up, pepper spray and sucker punch ordinary citizens as well in the name of their ideology. At least I do not see the "Nazis" doing that.
I certainly give no support to Nazis but boy does it "P" me off to see the fascist Left get a free pass by the media and authorities - every time. Every time.
Well then, that makes your photos somewhat irrelevant.I should have gave you more of a background. I couldn’t photograph the nazis because they broke the law at the very beginning of there marching so the police shut them down and surrounded them. Me and the anti nazis was also surrounded by the police so that there could not be a battle between anti nazis and nazis. My photos are all from the antifa point of view.
So if you couldn't photograph Nazis then the title ("Nazi march") is quite misleading because we don't see any Nazis... It's like the photograph of the Jupiter which is not visible on the photograph because it is very far away. I see some symbols of Rättvisepartiet Socialisterna (far left, Marxist movement) and it gives some hint at the level of tension - potential clash of two radical movements... It is not very clear from your description - why you could not photograph Nazis? Your statement that because they broke the law is a bit strange - what prohibits taking the pictures of people breaking the law? That is the essence of photojournalism, isnt't it?

The silhouetted shot with the red flag is just plain frightening. How can this be happening again?

“fascist left”
Not to be the dictionary waving poster, but that's not a thing.
I know, I was quoting peterm1 who used that phrase.
Well then, that makes your photos somewhat irrelevant.
My apologies, it's one of those phrases that makes my eye twitch in annoyance.
