Hi all.
Anyone have any experience connecting one of these to a recent mac with the mini display port? I'd kind of like to get my hands on the right cable(s) before the screen gets here...

Hello Tom,
I am running the NEC MultiSync 2170NX with my MacBook (Alu, 13") without any problems.
Just check with your Mac what size of external display it supports, but it should manage all the way up to 30" so I would not expect any compatibility problems.

You want the adapter that apple makes to go from the mini port on the computer to the standard DVI connection used by your monitor.

Ok... I got the adapter, and the monitor. But no joy so far.
The macbook sees the monitor no problem, but the NEC just displays a "no signal" message and goes to sleep. Any tips?

Just for anybody's future reference, it was the cable connections. After swapping ends a few times, and tightening the retainer screws with a screwdriver all is well.
Wouldn't like this thread to show up in searches and put anyone off; the view is fabulous!
