The basic boat decoration outside is fairly traditional but the inside is modern. We are not really into the "Castles and Roses" so the rear doors are based on the BCN decoration.

Your boat looks great, Kim. (I bet that lovely pale carpet will pick up a few marks!)

Is there a "season" for narrowboats, or can you use it year round? I know that some are lived in, or is it a mooring issue?

We use it the year round. Generally the "season" is considered March to the end of October. Only a few hire boats operate out of this mainly due to expense.

Novenber to Feb, you have to plan carefully. Most of the major repairs to locks, bridges etc are done during this time and so certain sections of canal can be closed ie you are still allowed on them but may not get past the stoppage. Most are only for one or two weeks but big jobs such as some work on the tunnels can go on for a month.
