New hood for the XF 23/1.4

I don't know if anyone has posted this or not.

While on Amazon the other day, I saw a new hood is being introduced this month for the XF 23mm f/1.4. It's called the Fujifilm LH-XF23 Lens Hood. It looks like one of the "squashed can" designs like those used on the 35/1.4 and 18/2.

Seems like most people who love the lens hate the hood that came with it--I know I do. So I pre-ordered it. Amazon says they should be available to ship in less than two weeks. It's probably available from other retailers as well, maybe available in some places right now.

i think some info about this new hood was posted a few weeks ago here...
i bought a nice big vented hood for my 23...looks good and works quite well...
 
thanks guys for the links...i forgot how bad being a lazy ******* can look to the outside world...;)
and now, deciding on buying it or not...though i likely will!
 
just ordered mine locally...if they have them in toronto then i should have it in a week or 10 days...if not, i really like my vented metal hood and can wait for the new one...;)
 
Well Amazon still doesn't have them in stock so my pre-order got nowhere. I cancelled and ordered from B&H where it is in stock.

Should be here tomorrow.
 
Price from B&H (in stock) is the same as Amazon is listing for a pre-order--$69.95. Yep, expensive. (But I should be used to it by now.)
