Purchased a new M8 from Amazon. Tried to register on the Leica site for the two ir/uv filters. Did not seem to work. Never got past first step. Any similar problems?

No, but I have experienced other intermittent problems w/their web site. I would just keep trying as it's likely to be a temporary tech issue. You might try using a different browser to make sure that's not the problem.
