And to add to my comments so you can make your own assessments, here's a comparison shot that I believe shows the warmness vs coolness (relatively speaking), closer focusing distance, and greater dof/sharpness in oof areas. With these descriptions it should be clear but in case not, the first is the Summaron and the second is the Canon, each taken at 1/500 @ f3.5. And unfortunately I used a smaller tape measure which, due to reflected light, made the scale unreadable (disappointing because I was able to focus on the scale markers just fine when taking the shots).
