In the past 12 months I have not made ONE photograph on film. I have made over 10,000 digital images in the past year, some very nice. But I haven't shot a single frame on an M6, Hassleblad, Wisner 5x7, or Zone VI 8x10. So:RFF, here's my resolutions. 1) I will clear my backlog of undeveloped film. 2) I will shoot and develop at least 5 rolls of film of any size per month. 3) I will spend at least one month doing a film-based PAD . . .

Any of y'all care to resolve?

My goal for 2013 was to take lots of photos and complete a 365 project. In a few more days I will have succeeded, though in the process I took approximately 50,000 digital photos, and nearly burned myself out. For 2014, my goal is to take significantly fewer photos, the majority being film. I'm looking forward to easing up and spending some quality time with my M2 and some Tri-X.

Before I press the button, not only am I looking at composition, but, more importantly originality. It may be a great image but has it been taken before many times and when does it say to others? After a while you easily attain the ability to control composition, lighting, and color but I have found originality ever more difficult. Therefore, I try every year to take more original photographs.

1. Survive 2014 and in so doing bring myself ever closer to retirement.
2. Put an end, once and for all, to the internet myths surrounding the Pentax 6x7 and Hasselblad 501CM. RE: Neither can be hand held successfully. Both are loud enough to scare babies and old women.
3. Use up a Pyrocat-HD kit with the 2-bath method.
4. Produce 2 images with film worthy of the 2014 LUG Yearbook.
5. Be happy if I achieve 1 out of 4.

I'm having a Medium Format year, just using 35mm on holidays.
Just in the process of buying a Pentax 67, 105/2.4 and 55/4.
😀
I'm determined to improve my B+W development, and dig out the Better Scanning holders that I bought earlier this year and haven't examined.

2014 Resolutions

Get a darkroom set up at home. Resist GAS while looking for the perfect camera (it does not exist). Travel RTW with my daughter while not buying any more gear.

One camera. One lens. Still thinking about whether I can decide on one film? This is the part that has me going back and forth.

Also considering starting replenished Xtol. Needing a roll to keep the working solution going might help motivate me to shoot more in those periods when I don't shoot enough.
