New York Meeting!! All Welcome

If its an RF, why not? On the other hand if its anything else you will be among friends who I"m sure won't tell, so why not as well. The only thing is how much equipment can one schlep around on a hot day? The schlep factor must be considered. I think I will bring only a Bessa L.

i'm thinking for a 2 week holiday with friends and also a day trip into manhatten.

forget the digital, i don't really need instant shots and i will scan my film when i get home.

i already feel the pull to bring everything i own with me...just in case.
and then i think, a p with a 35 and i'll be happy.
or maybe a 50 and the 100 would work well too.

my original plan...pw/35 - ivsb w/ 50 and the 85 ( or 100 if available) still feels good too.

I would bring everything then select on a day-by-day basis. That's what I did when I went to Europe recently. Mostly left 2/3 of the stuff in the apartment we had but I ended up using all 5 lenses that I took over the time I was there. 🙂

You are right, I should. Right now I have some very heavy duty work which extends over weekends, so I'm not going anywhere for several weeks at least. 🙁 (That unfortunately includes Banff in Canada which I had the opportunity to visit but work is getting in the way.)

Anyway, the Amtrak Acela high-speed train Boston-Washington is broken! 🙁

bummer!

banff is beautiful any time of the year.
i used to head out to the mountains all the time but i have not been there in years now.
i used to camp but now i wake up too sore to sleep on the ground and i'm too cheap tp pay for a room.

Next week some time I will start a head count and request for cell phone numbers. I figure if we have a couple phone numbers we will be able to find each other if someone is running late.

Hey guys,

I'm sorry to have to do this, but I need to bail on Tuesday. I have some big deadlines and needed to schedule a meeting for tuesday morning. (but hey, I tried.)

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's shots when you get them scanned in. It's interesting to see what non-ny'ers will decide to shoot in my home city. Sort of a old city/fresh eyes thing. Also, if anyone's interested, there's some neat exhibits over at the International Center for Photography and the whitney.

Good luck and have fun!

adam

oh, by the way. If you happen to see any of the posters up around town advertising some new shows on CourtTV or IFC, they're both campaigns I did some work on... and are actively contributing to why I can't make it Tuesday, unfortunately. 🙂
