Doing a major project in June and am trying to find a working kit.

M9+ 50 sonnar is are glued together

I was thinking of matching nex7 and 50 1.1 and 75 1.8 (low light)

Problem is the ZM 25 . I have it its lovely but on the nex7 it probably going to lackluster...

any alternatives of small 24mm /25mm? retrofocus .

Not accoridng to my experience... You already have it; why not see for yourself?

I saw those posts on the 5n being much better than the Nex 7 but they were early samples, I wonder if now that the camera is in more hands if someone with both cameras can compare them side by side.

I read those posts and even though the Nex 7 has a nicer interface and a built in EVF I didn't want to chance lousy rangefinder lens compatibility and felt that a great 16mp was as good as I needed . I have a Zeiss 25mm in M mount and I hope it makes a great 35mm lens.

if you have the zm25, why don't you try it, like they are saying?

Your 35/1.2 is excellent on the 7. The summilux 24 is good, the sony 24 is good close, but a touch soft at long infinity.

skopar 25 may be good.

lots of SLR 24s, e.g. the canon nFD 24/2, or nikon 24/2.8

It's all a matter of perception and expectation. Your ZM may very well still be sharper at infinity than the 24/1.8 on the Nex-7. It just may not be as sharp as it "should be," and it will probably have a color cast. You just need to try it for yourself and determine if you're cool with it.

p.s. my links above were with newer production cameras.
