Try a different M adapter. You need one with a cutout for the infinity lock.
EDIT: Wait -- I can't really tell from your pictures above but it looks like you're using one already. Odd.
Yes im using a voigtlander adapter but locking it can be done but i find it a hazzle. No worries as i doubt i will use this lens till infinity.
Do share some pics k

Great lens. I still use the one I purchased in 1956 on my Nikon S2.
I would love to get the S mount which is cheaper as well on my S2, but finding an external VF for it is just too troublesome. Furthermore i had a 2.8cm for the S mount..so i thought it be good to get this in LTM
Yes, it's a fine lens, and very compact. A SOOGZ works well for e39 filters, and a FOOKH is a perfect shade.
A lot of lenses have the same issue of the aperture rng rotating with the focusing barrel. The ones I've used include: Nikkor 85/2 and 105/2.5; Canon 25/3.5, 50/3.5, 50/2, 85/1.8; Leica 50/2.8 Elmar, 50/2 Summar and 90/4 Elmar. So your 35/2.5 Nikkor is in good company.

I'm using a Voigtlander 32mm push in filter. It fits quite snug and the chrome exterior finish matches well with the lens.
It provides good protection and the glass seems to be top quality. I'm happy I found one in the color I normally use although I would rather have a skylight.
Here is one for sale. I don't know the seller.

^ Thanks for the tip! I know I have one of those somewhere (the skylight). On Voigtländers, it's push-on, 32mm being their standard diameter for the B and C Vitos. I never realized it might fit the Nikkor as a push-in.
And folks, this is classic Voigtländer we're talking here, not CV.
