How do you do?

I am going to buy Nikon 105/2.5 and using on my Hexar RF.

As you know, Hexar RF has little short EBL.
Is it OK to use Nikon 105mm wide open on Hexar RF?

Is there anybody to us Nikon 105mm on Hexar RF here?

I have that combo. With some practice works fine. I miss a shot here and there, but not much. Btw, Hexar RF has long enough EBL. It's VF magnification is a bit low, thought. But with Nikkor 105 or fast lenses like Canon 50/1.2 or CV 35/1.2 - seems to work fine. For me at least. 😉

Ditto to what Krosya wrote. Assuming everything is up to spec, you can use a telephoto, Noctilux, etc. on a low mag body like the Hexar RF; you just have to be more careful when focusing (same would be true of a 0.58 Leica M).

The focus on the Hexar-RF is certainly accurate enough for lenses in the 90-105mm range. The biggest beef I had with the H-RF with a 90, was that the 90mm framelines were so small that keeping the camera level was 'a challenge'. The 135 lines even more so.. Despite that, accurate focus was never an issue. I'm not sure whether you'd best use the 90 or 135 lines with a 105, but if you're OK with their small size, I see no reason not to use a 105 on the H-RF..

Finally, Here are my pictures taken by Hexar RF and Nikon 105mm LTM

I do like the second shot it particular, as the lighting is nice and soft, the subject is well destinct from the background, and you can see pretty clearly what he's doing. Nice!
