Does anyone know of a retailer that might have the new Nikon ES-2 slide/negative copier in stock? They are either back-ordered or "not yet available" everywhere I can think of (including the Nikon online store).

Nikon is apparently holding them back until they have a firmware update for the D850, as the film digitizer function in it is crap. And they made a big deal about how with the ES-2 it will be the best way to digitize film.
Of course, it is just a holder (no electronic contacts, not dedicated to the D850) and you can use the ES-1 as I do in the mean time.
I've been on waiting lists for a long time now, and Nikon keeps missing their promised release dates.
p.s. what is interesting is you can get them on ebay from Japan. But I don't want to pay $100 over retail.
