Nikon Z6 / Z7 Photos....

I tried two 50mm lenses with the Nikon Z6.
Leica M Summilux II and Nikkor 50 1.8 S.
The two photos were taken with a tripod. Diaphragm 1.8.
The Nikkor bokeh compares well with the Summilux!

Bokeh seems close in character in this example. Looking at the petals in the flowers in the center, the Nikon appears sharper, though that would not be surprising. Hard to tell from the screen.
Thanks for posting.

Thanks Larry
I was interested in comparing this distance because it is the portrait distance. Summilux is my favorite bokeh lens and its 3D effect (due to a spherical aberration that produces front focus at the edges). The Nikkor has a very similar Bokeh but with a higher definition distributed well on the focal plane. The small difference is also that the Nikkor has a slightly wider angle of view than the Summilux which is precisely 51.3 mm (13 engraved on the barrel).

FWIW, a well done lens comparison between the Z primes and the 24-70/2.8 S zoom. Somewhat eye opening given how good the primes are for this system. YMMV

I love all the Z lenses, particularly that 24-70 lens. It’s pretty much silent when using it for video, as compared to the F-mount version with the FTZ adapter. I’d love it if they came out with Z-mounted PC lenses, but I’m probably asking for too much 🙂

I noticed that Ming Thein has been shooting the Z pancake zoom, 16-50mm / 3.5-6.3 on his Z7. He injured his back a while ago and is using lightweight kit. I decided to try it out. It is an APS-C lens, so you get a 20mp image. Small, light, sharp, quick to focus, silent, includes VR. Initial impressions are very positive:

Yes. I like it very much. I don't know this 58mm hexanon lens. I have always seen the 57 mm version.

Sorry Alberto, you are correct, it is the 57mm version, was a typographical error. I have edited it to correct it. There was a 58mm f/1.2 prototype which was larger, which Konica lists in their lens information, but may not ever have reached production.
Nevertheless, it is a personal favorite, and a lens I would never sell. https://fstoppers.com/gear/rare-len...-and-produces-incredibly-sharp-results-389100

The colors out of this glass are unusually saturated, in a good way. As well as having a unique way of rendering out of focus areas and fall off from central focus.
I keep a Konica film body solely for use with this lens, almost never loaded with anything but Fuji Pro 400H, for which it seems a match made in heaven, pastels, but rich pastels.
