Hey all, just wanted to chip in my 2 cents about the Nokton 50mm F1.1 ...
I enjoyed shooting a few shots with this lens on my Bessa R3A last week. I found it to be a very good quality lens. The versatility of having such a wide aperture was quite helpful.
After getting my Ektar 100 negatives back from the lab, I scanned them into my Epson v700 and noticed an issue with CA (chromatic aberrations) ... readily apparent with bright / dark contrasty edges, as seen in this photo. Check out the edges of the drum cymbals for a "purple glow".
I mean, overall this is a great lens -- but if this were a Canon or Nikon product, people would be making a huge fuss over this. Or am I missing something here?
Any thoughts?
