The Fujishop in Nelson, New Zealand have one on display and I was able to handle it. Feels good, not plasticy, and from fifty yards you would think it was a Leica M. The viewfinder system is very good, but I was disappointed with the fact that it has a fixed lens and only 12.3 MP. To me, it is an expensive point-and-shoot and is never going to replace my M3 and M2. Hope that I have not offended anybody.........

The fact that so many of you post messages on why you do NOT want to buy it just shows that it is an exiting camera with a slightly new touch. I am looking forward to mine and maybe, just maybe, it will be that perfect combination and "old" and "new" / "film" and "digital" feeling I have been searching for some time.... JonR

Or maybe we're just saying that (a) it's as very nice point and shoot with good control layout and manual overrides but (b) not really a rangefinder or anything much to do with rangefinders and most certainly (c) not the Second Coming.

Some people egg others on to spend money, others counsel caution.

If Fuji gave me one, I'm sure I'd use it and be very happy with it. But it doesn't make an iota of sense for me to buy one, because I already have other cameras that would normally crowd it out, and I have better things on which to spend $1200. Even at $200 I'd probably not bother.

from what i have read, i think the camera is great and would like to eventually get one...and i don't mean to discourage anyone from getting one...but my reality is that i don't need one and it wont move me forward photographically.
if i were to get one fast lens that would have more of a possiblility of impacting my shooting.

I'm going to sell of some equipment, and will probably buy one of these, or spend the money on something new that is marked "Made in Japan".
