I tossed the printer, as I needed the space. How about a "home made" 4x5 category? I could bring the home made 4x5 and maybe trick it out with a holder that uses the New55 instant film.

Steve,
Bring that camera. I'm interested in the new 55. Every year Louis Mendez asks me if I want to take the train with him to New Orleans for Mardi Graws. Maggie says I should go because it is a great shooting opportunity.

HICKORY CREEK and BERLIN
New Orleans Jazzfest
New York - New Orleans - New York
April 26 - May 3, 2016
HICKORY CREEK (Star Trak Inc.) and BERLIN SLEEPING CAR (Deep River Rail Ventures LLC) offer a very special opportunity to experience the ambiance of overnight Pullman rail travel between two of the greatest cities in the country. Take this opportunity to escape the Northeast and head south to New Orleans. Attend the 2016 NEW ORLEANS JAZZ & HERITAGE FESTIVAL, or simply tour New Orleans as you please.Details at: http://aaprco.com/Travel_Opportunities/nol-jazzfest2016.pdf I think that the Jazz festival might be more fun than Mardi Grais -- Its always fun to shoot in New Orleans.

A reminder mainly for the out-of-towers, Sunday is the last day that these Gordon Parks photographs are up. The gallery is 5-10min walk from Puck Fair, and they are open 1-6pm.
If you want to slip 15min of culture into an afternoon of camera geekery, it is highly recommended.

NEW "BRANDING" CATAGORY: "Maggie" bought me a gift of "B" magazine which is an interesting publication because it features no advertising, but each issue expansively explores a single company and its branding.
I have one for Bic and have seen a load of others. I never saw the Leica one.

John,
Its a pretty slick rag. You are much more hip than me. Before I was gifted the Leica issue I never knew "B" existed.
Anyways I learned a lot about marketing and branding.

BUMP.
Don't forget I have black Italian goat leather for Bob and Sam. Make sure you have minimum dimentions.
Christian I have to remember to bring that expensive mechanical pencil you left behind. Also have that Canson sample pack (what remains) from PhotoPlusExpo. Remind me to give you your stuff or else I'll bring it home inadvertantly.
Did I forget anything?
I tried some Canson cellulos Baryta and some Canson fiber Baryta papers. All I can say is wow. I still have to apply another coat of gloss overcoat, but the prints have a lot of depth. The Jon Cone Type 5 that I have been using has blacker blacks, but the Canson papers (both prints look the same, but the feel is different) has a deep glow that extends into the shadows. The Epson Exhibition Fiber has the exceptional glow in the highlights, but the range on the Canson is broader. Seems like the Jon Cone Type 5 is more of a satin rather than glossy with a bit of mat texture in the paper, while the Epson and Canson have the glossy look of a silver wet print.
I put off trying the Canson due to reports of "Pizzawheeling" on a Epson 3880. The only work around to get rid of this artifact is use a bigger printer that is a "Pro" model that uses a vacuum rather than rollers in the paper transport. Boy am I glad I have a 7800 in my back pocket. LOL.

I don't know about hip, but I got it from the Japanese book store by Bryant Park.... http://www.kinokuniya.com/us/ which is worth checking out for photo books and strange magazines.

Just so everyone is aware, NFL playoffs are on this sunday and the bar will get crowded. Someone will have to go early, well before kickoff at 1 to make sure we have our space. We normally don't run in to this problem because we have this event in February.

John,
Maggie goes there all the time. That's probably where she got it.
I also forgot the graduated 1 liter containers for Christian that are perfect for chemistry because they have "wide openings like a Gatorade bottle."

Pro-Mone,
Thanks for the heads up. I was planning on securing the balcony at noon. I always go early now after those tough looking group of firefighters took our round table.

They only have like 1 TV in that place and it's not in our section... we should be ok. I can try to get there early as well to assist Cal.

John,
Crazy news is that "Maggie" is putting together a full blown fashion show at Fordham's Lincoln Center Campus February 7th one week before NYC's Fashion Week. Whole Foods is a sponsor and is supplying food. It seems that the Dean found out about Maggie's blog... Something to do with the Grad Business school's Fashion program. There is also a panal discussion on sustainable fashion that somehow has Eileen Fisher involved along with some designers from the Brooklyn Incubator and all these big names I don't know. LOL.
On the Refinery 21 calender "Maggies" is Ms. April.
Some thing called United Arrow from Japan is brewing and will be released soon.
Then there are all these interviews. Last night Maggie showed me all these shots I took that have been reposted on some Japanese website. They looked really good.

Gosh, I didn't even make the connection. Thanks for the heads up Pramodh. Isn't there another room in the basement? I sort of recall seeing something there.

I wonder if the news surrounding David Bowie may not be an issue as well. He lived across the street and was known the hang out at PF. The bar may be full of fans. I haven't walked in front of the building since the news broke but I understand the scene there is crazy. PF is 1/2 block further up

Still on for this Sunday?
I need to come to NYC that day, so look forward to attending. Will be collecting my MF kit back from my kid, I barely had a chance to use it before she confiscated it for a project!
