New York NYC December Meet-up?

Cal...
When Louis retires, you get his spot.

:)

I have a spot inside in the used department at B&H. LOL. BTW the Plaubel has made me a "Tourist Attraction." I'm meeting a lot of people because of the Plaubel. Almost as interesting than Louis' 1959 Speed Graphic.

Damaso, At the last Meet-Up I failed to tell you that I found out that Louis hung out with W. Eugene Smith during the "Jazz Loft" days, so I asked Louis why Smith threw away his life. Louis stated that Eugene was bitter and pissed because no one wanted or was interested in the shots that almost cost him his life when he was savagely beaten in Japan.

Events now kinda make sense to me.

Very interesting Cal, I wonder if that's what turned him to drugs?

Trauma and coping is pretty hard to do. I can fully understand why Smith became an outsider and destroyed himself. Back in the 70's and 80's I lost a lot of friends who were great artists.

Sometimes I wonder how I became an old man.

Okay. Its already January 4th.

I say we meet-up at John's recomended new local "The Puck Fair Bar" at 298 Lafayette just below Houston on January 22d at 1:00 PM.

I hope this works out for everyone. If not: oh-well see you in February.

GEAR ALERT: I will be bringing my Wetzlar M6 that has been serviced by Sherry and recieved a MP finder upgrade. My M6 will be pimped out with a TA Rapidwinder and TA Rapidgrip.

Also I'll bring a Italian leather bag that I'm making to fit a one body Leica kit.
