WOW. That chrome M4 formally known as "Punky" is likely the nicest M4 I ever have known. That new black Griptac looks really good, and because the top plate and bottom plate are pristine and so clean because it was formally a shelf queen.

Funny back story is when I showed it off to my friends at the used department at B&H, Eddie said, "Look at the top and bottom plates, not a mark. Where did you find this M4." My friends at B&H were really amused that I bought it at Adorama for no money and that it came with an intact "L" seal even though it is a 1970 vintage M4.

Anyways what a great-great camera.

Sometimes you can get great deals at Adorama even better than
B&H, the guy's up front at B&H really don't have any control of
pricing like they have at Adorama. Even their amazed at the
stuff I got off ebay.

I think if the government really did a thorough background check they likely would not have issued me a secrete security clearence. Also know that I have an FBI file because of my security clearance.

When I was interviewed by an FBI agent I was asked repeatedly where I was born because of some confusion, when I was being screened for a security clearance upgrade. Years later I would discover that somehow I have two different birth certificates from two different hospitals. One hospital was in the south western part of Nassau County on Long Island, and the other was in the eastern end of Nassau County on Long Island.

Anyways the only thing that makes any sense is that either I am a terrorist that was imbedded at a very early age, or that my stubborn illiterate immigrant father and his brute determination somehow fatigued some clerk at a hospital in demanding a new birth certificate. My dad was one big head ache. LOL. The Chinese are famous for their tortures for good reason. LOL.

I found remarkable deals at B&H also like a 50 Rigid that was misgraded and also mispriced for $499.00. I also got my Noct-Nikkor at B&H for $2.5K. I just look for good deals on hard to find gear in good or great condition.

Pro-Mone,

You should assume that we all are being monitored and not just by the government.

I have to laugh that the Prime Minister of Germany thought her cell phone conversations were private, when literally the communication was transmitted and broadcast. Understand that not only the governments, the credit agencies, and the banks are monitoring you but also retail stores, foundations and even museums.

Because I'm Calzone I meet a lot of people. My old boss at a National Lab was a Ham Radio nerd and he played me a recording of a cell phone conversation that he intercepted of some guy who was cheating on his wife coaching his girlfriend to a screaming orgasm while engaged in phone sex.

Also know that because I get around somehow I got A-Listed as some influential person of NYC's social elite. I met Mayor Bloomburg at some party held at Gracie Mansion and had two other events there after where I dissed the mayor. One was another party at the Rubien Museum. BTW he is the shortest billion-air I know.

I get invites to socialize with Madhattan's social elite at gatherings at the Russian Tea Room and invites to meet heads of state. I even got a free subscription to Forbes magazine just in case I had the extra money and wanted to basically buy another country because some people think I'm a rich-rich guy.

Basically all this is the result of profiling and mistaken identity by someone who formally was a performance artist. LOL.

Phil,

The DE-1 is black paint (only 10% of DE-'s were black paint). it comes with the prism bottom cover, but I have to dig the cover out of storage. The condition of the prism is "LN."

The black paint F2 body needs a real close look to see any hint of brassing. I upgraded the screen to a "Red-Dot" "K" screen from a F3, and I put in new foam seals. On very close inspection there is what I would call a dimple (a small imperfection) of no consequence on a flat area on the front of the top-plate. Comes with a body cap and a Calzone Custom wrist strap.

Overall it is of collector quality and is either flippable for more money, or holdable as an investment. I won't mention the price here, but know and understand three things: one is that you won't find a better one at a better price (a real insider price); you have dibbs over anyone else; and that if you chose not to buy it someone else will at the meet-up. I'll PM you with the insider price.

I already have so many "dream cameras." I know Andre is mucho happy with his new M4, and I like that it is still kinda in the family so to speak.
