New York October NYC Meet-Up

I'm thinking that because Photo Plus Expo is the fourth weekend in October that perhaps we should schedule the October Meet-Up for Saturday October 26th.

Generally a group of us meet at the opening of the show on Saturday before our regular meet-up.

Guests are always welcome. I'll be shooting a lot before it gets cold. The Halloween Parade is always a good event. This year I'll be shooting a Pentax 67II with a 75/2.8 AL and dedicated flash. Last year I blinded a few people on 5th Ave during "Fashion Night Out."

I use to be a hillbilly from Brooklyn, but now I live in Madhattan in the up and coming neighborhood affectionately known as Spa-Ha or Hell Gate. I lived on the Southside of Williamsburg in Brooklyn before it was conquered by hipsters and in Greenpoint when Chinese guys with ponytails were not welcomed.

Yesterday saw a mini-riot breakout between a group of cab drivers and a cyclist who had his bike pancaked by a cab. The cops came quickly to break-up the rumble. We pay extra for this, and real life is much better than TV.

Perhaps Saturday (later in the afternoon) I might make a fly-by to see your print in the exhibit.

Last night's rain made me eat my words and I discovered a very leaky window seal in my car which has to be fixed ASAP. I only have a few more days left before the big trip!

Ride home was somewhat uneventful, went to home depot didn't have what I
wanted, then sold a digital camera to a man from Africa, picked up another
Olympus, a Black OM-1n a real looker. It was great meet a lot of cool cameras
and good talk, hope to see you next month.

Awesome. We meet-up at 10:00 AM near the registration. We'll do a two hour PhotoPlus Expo and then leave for the regular NYC Meet-Up.

I am a loud New Yorker and John did the portrait of me after a meet-up. I use to be in denial, but John was right: I'm a gear whore.

We hit the Expo early on and leave at noon when it's getting mobbed.

I know you just got a Monochrom so the GAS won't be so bad. LOL.
