OK, so how many cameras do you *carry*

I've seen polls on how many cameras to take on holiday, how many complementary/duplicate cameras you have and so on.

Now, when you're walking around town (hometown or on holiday) how many cameras do you have slung around your neck/wrist? How many lenses in pockets?

Or do you walk around (on a regular basis) with a camera bag?

I tend to throw my Contax RTS II with its Planar 85/1.4 and my M7 with its Summicron 50/2 in my rucksack (plus Biogon 25/2.8 in its bag).

When strolling around (have to wait for my knee to heal 🙁 🙁 ) out comes one or the other.

The EOS 30D tends to stay at home for snapshots of the kiddies.

i normally carry only one body and 2 lenses.

if i feel ambitious and i'm heading out to a 'photo opportunity', then 2 cameras and 4 lenses.

If I'm carrying a bag I'll usually throw in either a Bessa or an OM with one or two lenses, and maybe a Ricoh 500G or an XA. If I'm not carrying a bag I'll probably just stick the XA in a pocket.

The Contax T is always in my bag or pocket and I want to finish a roll in my T2 so that is in the rucksack and I've got the Contax IIa loaded with Tri-X around my neck this week. I'll add the iskra next week and subtract the T2 and IIa next week.

Two Leica M's, if landscape is involved I bring a Canon digital with zoom in a back pack (the Canon is way to big and heavy to sling around the neck) and one M. I always carry a point and shoot in the car that can clip to my belt.

I'm always with a camera! Pictures happen.

I always take my R3A with the 50/1.5 Nokton and a J9. It's often accompanied by a Mamiya 645, depending upon what I want to do.

I carry a Casio EX-S600 in my shirt pocket at all times. I also have a cell phone camera that I almost never use (does that count?). So, I always have two photo making devices with me at all times. If I'm going out on a shoot I carry 1 camera body (usually an M these days) with 2-3 lenses. Like the man said, Pictures happen.

I've been seen with 5 different cameras in a bag over my shoulder, GSN, M4-P, Canonet GIII QL17, Fuji BL G690, XA plus a couple of FSU lenses for the M4-P. All told the contents in the shoulder bag weigh about 10 lbs

It's crazy, but so am I.

Two cameras, a 50mm and one with either wide angle or zoom or both.

For the DC demonstration this month I used my 800si with a 50mm and a recently acquired Dimage Z3 with wide to 12x zoom.

I always carry a little Canon P&S digicam in my pocket. Always. Beyond that...

For just walking around, if I'm looking to take photos, I carry one body with one lens mounted and a 2nd in a small camera bag (actually a pouch that will attach to my larger camera bag, but which has a shoulder strap as well). Mostly that's either my Hexar RF with 35 and 50, or my M3 with 50 and 75. Film goes in the bag as well, along with cleaning stuff, spare batteries for the camera or meter, and a meter if I'm carrying the M3.

If I'm using digital, the same bag can carry my 30D with either a 35/2 or 50/1.8 mounted and the other for interchange, along with a spare battery and CF cards.

If I'm doing more than "walking around" then all bets are off and I take whatever colection of stuff I need. Usually the whole camera bag, with two dSLRs and a bunch of lenses - but one of my film cameras comes along as well (usually the Hexar RF with 35, but sometimes the OM-4T). I take a tripod or monopod as needed, depending on what I'm doing.

Oh, and I keep a Zorki 6 with collapsible I-50 in the glove box of the car, along with a couple of rolls of consumer colour film (despite heat etc.) just in case.

With the DSLR's, it's a 18-50 on the 300D, a 50-500 on the 20D. The 20D + 50-500 is about 10lbs all by itself 🙂

Otherwise, I often have a camera loaded with E6, B&W, medfmt also in the car on an outting, so 5 or 6 cameras at one time also.

Most of the time tho, it's just 2 cameras... very little rhyme or reason as to which 2.

Unless I'm specifically out shooting, my standard walking around kit is one Canon P with BW loaded, with two lenses (50 and 35), and the XA with color loaded in a pocket.

Sometimes I'll swap out the P for something if I want to give them exercise.

No more than 2 cameras, but I found I tend to enjoy my walks better with only one camera with me. My small bag, a Tamrac LTX series only has room for one camera and a couple of lenses, not counting finders and a few other nic-nax I take along. Lately it's been my Zorki 2c with my Leningrad 6 light meter around my neck.

A Zorki-6 in one pocket, with a 50mm lens attached to it, and some film in the other pocket(s). I dislike carrying bags around. Though in summer I'm gonna use my backbag as a camera bag, because i cant wear a jacket then. My only camera bag is the one that came with my SLR, and it has Canon written on it in big bright red letters.

Always carry my micro trekker 200 with full load; mf, rf, digi, 8 rolls film, 2 changing bags, field tripod and a partridge in a pear tree...

On business days always one camera in my briefcase, either M7+35mm or Canonet QL17. Weekends 2 cams and 3-4 lenses in the F-6.

I normally carry one, unless I am going out by myself specifically to shot, then I try to keep it to 2.
