One camera, one lens and one roll of film

My Kiev-4A, Helios-103 1.8/53 and Tri-X.

Or, with a free budget, an MP + 35/1.4 pre-asph and Tri-X.

BTW: How many lenses do you have ?

obviously you must know as they are listed in my sig.

but less obvious to me is the reason for asking.

It has been a more rhetorical question and pointed to the direction that all minimalism has it's limits and leaving all targets aside we cannot achieve with a minimum combo would mean to obstain too often.
Which leads back to my remark, that the question of pukupi was not complete.

sounds like my everyday combo : M6 and 28mm Elmarit M 3gen, and Kodak T-max CN, Since you don´t get Iford XP-2 in Argentina. . .

Um... In 'wun-thirtyfive,"
One Leica MP, one Noctilux, one roll of Tri-X (and one dark red filter and one bottle of part 'a' of Diafine, and one bottle of 'b' part)
In 120:
One Mamiya Universal, 100mm f/2.8, and Tri-X (and the red filter and developer combo as noted ablve)

For the last 18 months or so, I've used almost exclusively: Leica M2 and rigid Summicron 50mm loaded with Ilford HP5+ rated at ISO200 and developed in Perceptol (or, during the Perceptol drought, Moersch's Perceptol clone - EFG).

This combination seems able to do everything I want to do (portraits and street) and the operation of the camera is becoming more and more intuitive. Most days I don't even bother with a meter and I know what field of view the lens will take in before I put the camera to my eye. I can also guess pretty accurately what the distance is - using the forcusing lever - and the rangefinder just confirms this, or suggests a minor adjustment.

I do have other cameras and lenses, but I'm going to stick with the M2 + Summicron + lots of HP5+ combination on a forthcoming 3-week trip to India. I might take an M3 so I can have a body loaded with HP5+ rated at ISO 1600 for night-time shots, but this would be my only concession.

Cheers,

Seán.

Although these questions always look like a bit of fun, this time I've actually gone back and checked what I'm using. So, looking at the last ten or so rolls, I'd have to say Leica M6TTL, CV 35 f2.5 and Tri-x.

This will however revert to HP5 when I've used the last of the Tri-x (nice in Rodinal 1:50, though) and I might revive the CV 35 f1.7 now I've found where I hid it 😱

one camera, lens, roll of film

one camera, lens, roll of film

Assuming that the camera must have a single focal length, non-removeable lens :

Leica CM 35mm and one roll of HP5

if I can have a zoomer : the CM with the zoom lens

if removeable lens:

Alpa TC with a 75mm , a 6x9 rollfilm back full of. . . . Velvia 100F.

I love to dream.

Easy question! I have all these, because these were the cheapest I could find when I was bying these.

-M2
-35/2 summicron (old)
-tri-x400

(will transfer to ADOX CHM400 (=ilford Hp5). Very cheap film ordered from germany...)

It was easy question because this is all I use anyway. 😎

the 2.8 is great, for an old lens. softish wide open, and when it flares, it flares a lot. i've never seen a 3.5, but i think they're about the same size. it sticks out as much as the collapsible summicron.
