Outrageous film created independently by Sentimental Filme / Saatchi & Saatchi agency

Why the moral outcry? It is a nice film, might be slightly wrong from a historical point of view but it works as a film. Thought it was great!

And it was discussed on rangefinderforum before: here and here.
 
a fine ad. as such i see nothing objectionable compared, for example, to fast food industry ad claims for their products' nutritional value.
 
A silly piece of over the top marketing.

Implying that a Leica MM will turn you into (insert name of famous photographer who used Leica M).
 
This is really bad taste. I wonder what Capa would think of it. Then, far from being in favour of collective responsibility theory, I think that the Germans should always think twice, when they are referring to war, WWII in particular.

Are you kidding?
First of all its inaccurate: Capa stopped using Leica in May 1937.
Second its tacky: it ties death to advertisement by re-enacting Capas death and pictures such as the one of a soldier killed by German snipers Leipzig Germany April 18 1945.

But worst of all it demeans the sacrifice of all the photojournalists who have died or been injured in recent years covering armed conflict, or because of LAND MINES. If you are in the field of photojournalism, you know who they are: friends, brothers, colleagues. They did not get another life like the stupid camera in the film; they are GONE.

The film really makes me sick.
