Having freed up my aperture blades, I now think I may have the Pad of Death problem.
I have a fresh battery, and the test light works.
When i start to wind on, I hear a distinct clunk.
When I part press the shutter button, the orange under light comes on and does not change whatever aperture I set to.
When on auto, starting at lowest Fstop (1.7) the shutter does seem to be operating at different speeds.
This does become more erratic the smaller the aperture, until the shutter stays wide open at F16.
Is this the pad problem, or something else?
