While I don't consider myself a Pentaxian, I learned to focus and shoot with my Dad's Pentax ME, which is now mine. It only had the gorgeous 50mm f1.4, but I have since bought it a near-mint 28mm f2.8. The body is smaller and lighter than the Leica M7 (not including the lens mount) and the way it looks is just lovely.

Dad bought it from a friend around the year I was born, or thereabouts! The leather case is now a cracked, peeling mess, but the camera is pristine, and I love it.

Just two Pentax cameras these days and two lenses.
An inherited a battered ME Super and recently bought a black MX (which I was using yesterday).

The lenses are an SMC 28/2.8 and an SMC 50/1.2 although I`m just as likely to use them on the Sony A7s .

Let me know if you ever feel like offloading that black MX ;)

Thanks. I was able to pick up a (black) one of these quite recently. Yes, that was when the reviewers really did their job! :)

Updates for my Pentax SP Spotmatic brassy black camera:
Picked up a cheap wide angle angle and I just love it!
It's 24mm Chinon -- I think I paid 40 bucks for it!

Here's some results from this summer at the Oregon Coast and other Northwest locales:)

I love my Petaxes!
The early screw mounts S1a and Sv were not for hard pro work..
Fashion at 20+ rolls a day/night!
Yeah! Film folks shoot less..Get Real.
The Spotmatic simply the best.
Beautiful lenses and a very reliable body.
My Pentax system have never reqd. services!
My Leica M have a need for services and repairs..
Reason for Nikon-F system was better suited to my eyesight at that time.
I almost never sold or traded equipment!
The Exception was the 6x7 a formidable fabulous camera.
It was simply to heavy for me!
Takumar lenses were very good.
My Me-Super, MG work in Canada's winter freeze..
The K-1000 made in China also OK but 50mm 1.7 from same source junk!
If you have not used one go crazy, $10~30 bodies..

How many Pentaxes (Pentacies?) does one need in order to qualify as a Pentaxian? Or does one really big one like the Pentax 6x7 count?

I think being a Pentaxian is a matter of heart and soul rather than a number ;)
Yes, and perhaps the length of time of continuous devotion? :D
My first Pentax was an H3v in 1964. At this point I've accumulated a couple dozen Pentaxes of all available film formats, and vintages from 1958 through a recent upgrade of my K-1 dSLR to K-1 II... I'm a Pentaxian!

Here's a recent pre-upgrade shot with the K-1 and 1.8/31mm Limited, in Montechristi, Ecuador:

So true.
I have shifted away from using Pentax as my main cameras, but I still think of myself as a Pentax shooter before anything else.
I have been using my SV (maybe my favorite Pentax) lately.

Sold most of my bodies and lenses except a mint BP SL with Takumar lens and a K mount 50/1.2 .
I use the 50 on a Sony body ,however I`ve just bought a black MX so that I can also use it with film .

The 1.2 is a fine lens, quite a beast though! Even wide open it's really something. The MX is a great camera (I have one of each, black and silver), I still also have my Super A which has had 20 years of use and been all around the world, and a more recent (to me) K2. Such great cameras.

Just bought my first Pentax. I picked up a K1000 (Hong Kong by the look of it) with the 50mm f/2 SMC M lens, a 135mm f/2.5 Takumar (Bayonet) lens, a flash, a bunch of filters, and a bag for $50. Everything is in nice "user" shape; the camera has a ding on the prism housing and a bit of wear on the leatherette. I couldn't get the battery cover off to replace the battery, so I just unscrewed the whole bottom plate and installed a new battery. The meter works fine and seems accurate. The lenses are like new.

Just loaded my first roll into the camera and am liking it so far. The K1000 doesn't feel as refined as my Nikon FE but has a sturdy, utilitarian feel that I find appealing. The only thing I didn't like about it was that the film speed settings are too small to read. Luckily, a reversed 50mm lens makes an excellent magnifying glass!
