people asking to be photographed

A fan, Shaktiman? No way. You know that some kids who watched that idiot serial jumped off roof-tops and died because they thought they too could fly? As for spelling, the practice of using "aa" to represent a long "a" ("barmy", "daft", etc.) is relatively recent. People of my time -- well, we just know what's short and what's long.

Damn! What were the parents doing while their kids were climbing around on the roof? Don't tell me.... sitting on their asses watching television? 🙁

Is this the dude? 😕

I though your last name was Shaak and the timan part was referring to Mr. T.

Nevermind

yup. that's the guy right there.

Payasam, I am truly sorry to hear about that. But Shaktimaan can't have been the first superhero they ever saw?! Here in america we have superheroes flying all over the place but I've never heard of anyone doing that. You make it sound like it was happening often... I hope not.

I recommend picking up some shaktimaan if you can find him. I saw the one where he fights spiderman. You know, the bad guy spiderman who doesn't do webs or stick to walls or anything. He just carries a switchblade. Needless to say, no match for my guy over here. 🙂

aahhhh. good times, good times.

I'm 100% with you!

Another proof is latin amerika, at least as long as the girls are under 30 and not married

Volker,

My friend from Madrid, who is in his 60's, says that relationships between German men and Latinas work out great, but relationships between German women and Latinos don't work. 😕 I don't know how he came to this conclusion. He's in the restaurant business and he meets a lot of people.

Two years after he told me that, his son got divorced from a German American girl. 😱

To ban *all* fantasy would be absurd, Richard: but some of it, as we have seen, is clearly dangerous. The "parental guidance" clause seems to be the only answer, since producers and directors are irresponsible. Shaktiman, television is not so old a phenomenon in India as it is in the US. Even in Britain in the mid 1970s, there were just three channels. India was a little less than two decades behind, I think. We have had our super-heroes, of course, but only to read about: meaning no tempting and convincing visual inspiration. Besides, they were super-natural beings or divinities and therefore by definition impossible to equal. I was not opposed to Green Lantern or The Atom, but for some forgotten reason I found Flash specially admirable. You ever met these jokers? My all-time hero, of course, was Gyro Gearloose: and I'm ready to beat the stuffing out of anyone who speaks against that greatest of all inventors.

I would back that observation with my own observations and experience. He's a wise man. One may not be correct all the time, but one may be on the mark.

R.J,

Many German women are visually attracted to taller Latinos but most will not put up with the classic macho role for any considerable period of time.

Most German men are attracted to German women but seldom discover the classic gender role they seek, which many Latinas still have.

German women have been strongly engendered while German men have not.

By the way, have you ever been on a dinner date and she pays?

Kevin,
Are German women who were raised in the former DDR much different from those raised in the BDR?

I don't have a problem with her paying 50% or 100%. She can even drive, which gives me a reason to get thoroughly intoxicated. 😀

I would say so - it was a different country with different cultural values.

I take it that you were never in Winnipeg and in the summer and at Grand Beach?

Go to Winnipeg then if you support the view that males are redundant and easily replaced by carrots and other vegetables.

I don't care if she pays or if I pay, as long as she's multi-choice and it leads to one of "THE 3" (dirty deeds). 😎

(Don't ask me what these 3 are.)

German girls? Hahahahahaha! 🙁
