I enjoy all of your pinhole posts. So cool to see real photography (as in new exploration of the medium) being posted here, especially when it is the result of using the most unsophisticated lens on the most sophisticated camera.

Love the softness of the tones, very appropriate for these subjects.

PS: curious about the light, was it a cloudy day? Or just sunset or dawn time?

Thank you both for commenting, and the kind compliments!
robert blu: these were from my second walking day with camera and pinhole, a much more overcast day than the first outing. So less directional light, a little sky modeling, and the need for even higher sensitivity settings (ISO 25,600). Time was about mid-morning. All contribute to the look ...

What brand of pinhole cap are you using? Extension tubes, or using the very short focal length that the FE mount provides?

These photos were made with a Skink Pinhole Pancake Retro Pro for Leica M mount (fitted with the Zone Sieve f/71 disk) using a Novoflex NEX/LEM adapter on the Sony A7. That nets the 24mm focal length.

The version for Sony FE/E-Mount currently would net about a 16mm focal length, which is a bit wide for me; the folks at Skink didn't realize that the A7/r/s were full-frame format, so they're going to offer a version with extension tubes for longer focal lengths in the near future. I had this one already for use with M-mount cameras, it does just about what I want but it would be neat to also have a setup with extension tubes to get longer focal lengths.
