Hello all , I am a professionnal photographer and I am looking for a means to share my photos to potential clients . I 've been asked to email some images to a client , so that he can make a selection to buy . I 'd rather prefer to put them online and am thinking at Flickr for instance . Is that a good idea , is it allowed to use this professionnally , are there better options ? Please excuse me if this has been asked before , thank you .

Is this for advertising or distribution photos that you took for a client? For distributing photos, services like SkyDrive or Dropbox are easy to use. Drop your photos in a local folder and the SkyDrive/Dropbox software syncs the photos into the cloud. Then you can email a link to the generated online gallery and the receiver can look at the photos. From there photos can be downloaded directly. If you don't want this then just upload smaller previews.

Just my personal opinion as a non professional photographer, I think the most professional way to share images with clients/potential clients is through the use of your business/professional website.
Programs Like LR have FTP options which make creating and posting image galleries very simple and strait forward
To limit access to these galleries you can place them in hidden an even password protected folders and email the link password to the client.

folks, please take the time to post in an appropriate forum.

asking about a photo sharing site does not really sound like its RFF news.
